Rosenow’s dynamic drawings meet Douma’s reduced sculptures. Rhythmic drawings, whether with pen or brush, on paper or canvas, in small or large formats, characterize Rosenow’s work. The movement of emergence can always be read, the lines correspond to each other. Whether they are applied delicately or broadly, loosely next to each other, floatingly distributed, flowing towards or against each other, they have the effect of sounds in a wide space. Douma’s abstract sculptures are made of blackened wood, stone or iron. The material is processed in different ways, from being left almost raw with only minimal interventions to being shaped and finely sanded. The works are assembled from several elements or worked out from one piece. The focus is on the intermediate areas, transitions and references between the elements and the interplay between form, material and surface. Movement meets calmness, lightness meets seriousness, narrowness meets wideness, standing next to each other, facing each other or leaning against each other, bumping into each other, crowding, connecting, moving away – sound meets silence.

Vernissage: Fr. den 17.11.23, 19.30 Uhr with Johannes Mössinger, piano

Opening hours: Friday and Sunday from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m
as well as by prior arrangement by telephone.

Badisches Kunstforum, Schönbergstr. 11, 79285 Ebringen

www.badisches-kunstforum.de

Vis à vis

Simone Rosenow / Jan Douma
drawing – painting – sculpture
Haus Salmegg, Rheinfelden
10.09. – 05.11.23

Verein für Kunst und Geschichte, Rheinfelden e.V.

Rheinbrückstrasse 8

Autumn 2023

www.haus-salmegg.de

50 years

BFB (Bund freischaffender Bildhauer*innen Baden-Württemberg e. It is often a dualistic body and space experience of being in between, of emptiness or instability, which is reflected in the choice of materials (stone, wood, concrete, iron – oil and acrylic) and surface treatment (flamed, roughly hewn, nuanced in color – vertical and striped) specified. A compact granite block delicately touches a towering oak stele at a tiny point, two columnar concrete sculptures make contact with one another, tongue-shaped, grained olive wood rests in partnership on black flamed ash – in the painting, deep vertical layers of paint make their way upwards and create Vibration and transition in the midst of an abstract spatiality.

Antje Lechleiter and Herbert M. Rosenow's dynamic drawings meet Douma's reduced sculptures. Rhythmic drawings, whether with pen or brush, on paper or canvas, in small or large formats, characterize Rosenow's work. The movement of emergence can always be read, the lines correspond to each other. Whether they are applied delicately or broadly, loosely next to each other, floatingly distributed, flowing towards or against each other, they have the effect of sounds in a wide space. Douma's abstract sculptures are made of blackened wood, stone or iron. The material is processed in different ways, from being left almost raw with only minimal interventions to being shaped and finely sanded. The works are assembled from several elements or worked out from one piece. The focus is on the intermediate areas, transitions and references between the elements and the interplay between form, material and surface. Movement meets calmness, lightness meets seriousness, narrowness meets wideness, standing next to each other, facing each other or leaning against each other, bumping into each other, crowding, connecting, moving away - sound meets silence.

Vernissage: Fr. den 17.11.23, 19.30 Uhr with Johannes Mössinger, piano

Opening hours: Friday and Sunday from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m
as well as by prior arrangement by telephone.

Badisches Kunstforum, Schönbergstr. 11, 79285 Ebringen

www.badisches-kunstforum.de
","margin":"default"}},{"type":"gallery","props":{"filter_align":"left","filter_all":true,"filter_grid_breakpoint":"m","filter_grid_width":"auto","filter_position":"top","filter_style":"tab","grid_default":"1","grid_medium":"3","item_animation":true,"link_style":"default","link_text":"Read more","margin":"default","meta_align":"below-title","meta_element":"div","meta_style":"text-meta","overlay_hover":true,"overlay_mode":"cover","overlay_position":"center","overlay_style":"overlay-primary","overlay_transition":"fade","show_content":true,"show_hover_image":true,"show_link":true,"show_meta":true,"show_title":true,"text_align":"center","text_color":"light","title_element":"h3","title_hover_style":"reset"},"children":[{"type":"gallery_item","props":{"image":"wp-content/uploads/2024/12/1-57.jpeg"}},{"type":"gallery_item","props":{"image":"wp-content/uploads/2024/12/1-55.jpeg"}},{"type":"gallery_item","props":{"image":"wp-content/uploads/2024/12/1-56.jpeg"}}]}]}]}]},{"type":"divider","props":{"divider_element":"hr"}},{"type":"headline","props":{"content":"

Vis à vis

Simone Rosenow / Jan Douma
drawing - painting - sculpture
Haus Salmegg, Rheinfelden
10.09. - 05.11.23
","title_element":"h1"}},{"type":"text","props":{"column_breakpoint":"m","content":"
Verein für Kunst und Geschichte, Rheinfelden e.V.

Rheinbrückstrasse 8

Autumn 2023

www.haus-salmegg.de
","margin":"default"}},{"type":"gallery","props":{"filter_align":"left","filter_all":true,"filter_grid_breakpoint":"m","filter_grid_width":"auto","filter_position":"top","filter_style":"tab","grid_default":"1","grid_medium":"3","item_animation":true,"link_style":"default","link_text":"Read more","margin":"default","meta_align":"below-title","meta_element":"div","meta_style":"text-meta","overlay_hover":true,"overlay_mode":"cover","overlay_position":"center","overlay_style":"overlay-primary","overlay_transition":"fade","show_content":true,"show_hover_image":true,"show_link":true,"show_meta":true,"show_title":true,"text_align":"center","text_color":"light","title_element":"h3","title_hover_style":"reset"},"children":[{"type":"gallery_item","props":{"image":"wp-content/uploads/2024/12/1-58.jpeg"}},{"type":"gallery_item","props":{"image":"wp-content/uploads/2024/12/1-59.jpeg"}},{"type":"gallery_item","props":{"image":"wp-content/uploads/2024/12/1-60.jpeg"}}]},{"type":"divider","props":{"divider_element":"hr"}},{"type":"text","props":{"column_breakpoint":"m","content":"

50 years

BFB (Bund freischaffender Bildhauer*innen Baden-Württemberg e.
