The installation ‘Waiting’ consists of a group of concrete steles, whereby the number and arrangement of the steles are variable and can be adapted to the respective local conditions. The steles are suggestively figurative, but their design remains rudimentary and undefined. Basically, they are hybrid creatures; they can be seen as figures or as figurative stone steles, which, when placed in a group, allow for individual interpretations. The material is shotcrete, it is solid and has a special, porous surface texture.
